The Core Responsibilities are leads sales into GEN’s core clients

• Identifies sales opportunities for the core clients, potential targets and builds business case, builds strategy and action plan to effectively execute sales
• Ensures implementation GEN overall business strategy, annual year plan and client plan
• Partners with colleagues in business development, Utility Data Systems and knowledge leadership to analyze client business performance, identify issues, define specific needs and sell solutions meeting these needs
Directs and executes sales efforts to target customers
• Drives assigned sales to core clients
• Ensures that client plan is “translated” into sales actions and that targets set are achieved
• Ensures Sales activities are consistent with GEN’s Branding and Positioning
• Ensures development and execution of differentiated sales programs
• Owns the sales pipeline of core clients
Leads sales execution for the target clients
• Plays an active role in planning, and sales execution ensuring buy in and securing the required resources
• Ensures appropriate resources are prepared to execute sales with targeted clients
• Owns the client plan and is responsible for delivering it
• Provides pricing input for solutions
Delivers on assigned financial targets (sales, gross margin)
• Participates in Sales budgeting process
• Develops and implements upon approval the client pricing strategy
Leads, drives manages sales to the target core clients
• Conducts ongoing client business performance evaluations and development discussions to create a result oriented mentality

• Marketing and sales savvy: Sales and business to business marketing experience, able to absorb industry dynamics, can read trends, show a strong brand understanding and generate business as a result.
• Strategic Acumen: is able to translate market potential, business objectives into real sales opportunities to grow the business
• Focus on clients: Sales and service oriented, pragmatic approach. Interacts actively with relevant client stakeholders and internal stakeholders
• Produce results: Analytical mind, takes initiatives, balances growth of sales and protecting margins. Sets clear priorities, works with Finance and Business Development and Utility Data Systems an efficient manner
• Communication: open, diplomatic and strong influencing skills, can work effectively in matrix environment
• Build Team /Develop Talent: Can develop, lead, coach and manage a team, needs strong aspiration to be successful as part of the GEN team.

Primary Qualifications (education / experience)
• University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or International Management and/or University degree in engineering/technology/exact science studies with additional training in Leadership, negotiating, Sales and Marketing
• At least 10 years preferable in energy industry (utilities), Sales / Marketing, international exposure and a proven track record of achieving business results in marketing or sales
• Fluent in Dutch, English and another European language (preferred)
